Introducing Blair Doyle Reflexology Cheltenham

A few months ago, I did a brand photoshoot with the lovely Blair and I thought it would be a great idea if she could do a guest blog on how reflexology can help families!

Hi, my name is Blair Doyle and I am a Mum of a 4 year old boy and a qualified reflexologist.

I am passionate about improving ours and our family’s wellbeing with the power of touch and

reflexology. Having had difficulties getting pregnant, I had reflexology to support my IVF process. I

found it both extremely beneficial but also very supportive and it inspired me to change professions

and retrain to be a reflexologist. And I want to share the joy, power and effectiveness of reflexology

with you so you can support and help your own children.

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a scientific art based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet

which correspond to all body parts. The physical act of applying specific pressures using thumb,

finger and hand techniques result in stress reduction which causes a physiological change in the

body.

What does Reflexology do?

Reflexology promotes stress reduction throughout the entire body, bringing about relaxation. It

promotes balance and normalisation of the body through the relaxation process and helps to

stimulate circulation and the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

5 reasons reflexology can help you as a parent:

1. Improve meaningful connections with you and your child

2. Structure individual time with your child

3. Help to calm and sooth illness or anxiety

4. Let them know you are there for them in another way

5. Support their well being and let them know its important to check in with themselves and

you

5 benefits of reflexology for children:

1. They enjoy the one-on-one attention from you and feel special

2. It provides a deep emotional and physical connection

3. Allows them to talk or check in with you (or take time to be calm & quiet, both are good)

4. It will help them on physical level with:

a. Digestion (good for constipation)

b. Coughs, colds, hayfever (helps to clear congestion)

c. Help to calm anxiety

d. Help to reduce a fever

5. Helps improve their sleep

I look forward to taking parents on this amazing journey to discover the basics of reflexology and how to

offer it to your children from any age. I will be running a workshop in the next few months if you would
